Caller privacy notice

You just spoke with an assistant. Here's exactly what that means.

This notice is for people who called a business whose phone is answered by FrontDesk, the AI reception service operated by Diaz Industries Inc. (Coquitlam, British Columbia) on that business's behalf.

Who answered your call

An automated assistant that handles the phone line for the business you dialed. It tells you it's an assistant at the start of every call. When it speaks in the business owner's own voice, that voice is used with the owner's written consent.

What we collect on the call

Your name, phone number, service address, and a description of what you're calling about, plus a recording and transcript of the call. The assistant states at the start of the call that it may be recorded. Payment details are never taken on the call.

Why

Three reasons, and only these: to book your appointment correctly, to send the business an accurate summary so they arrive prepared, and to check the assistant's work for quality.

What we never do

Sell your information, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone other than the business you called and the service providers that run the phone system.

Where it lives, and for how long

Recordings and transcripts are stored with our voice-platform providers, kept only as long as needed for service quality, by default 90 days, then deleted.

Your choices

You can ask the business you called to see the information from your call, correct it, or have the recording deleted. You can also ask to be called back by a person, any time, including during the call itself. If you received a text after your call, it was a one-time service message with a link to this page; reply STOP and you will never get another.

The standards we hold

Built in Canada under the BC Personal Information Protection Act and PIPEDA, and run to GDPR-grade practice everywhere: minimal collection, stated purposes, short retention, deletion on request. When we operate in Mexico, this page together with the spoken notice serves as the aviso de privacidad under the LFPDPPP, and requests to access, rectify, cancel or oppose are honored through the same channels. The assistant introduces itself as an assistant on every call, in line with the transparency rules of the EU AI Act.

Questions or requests: email info@diaz-industries.com with the business name and the approximate time of your call, or contact the business you called directly.
